NITERRA (NGK, NTK)
Today, NGK is the world's largest supplier of spark plugs and oxygen sensors. Annually, more than 500 million spark plugs are produced under the company's name. The company is also a leader in the field of factory equipment for new production cars and, as a manufacturer of glow plugs, occupies an important place in the market in the segment of diesel engines.
SPARK PLUGS
If you look at the design of the spark plug, then over the past 50 years, no significant changes have occurred. As before, the spark plug consists of a metal core covered with a ceramic insulator. It, in turn, is again covered with a metal shell, which has a thread that is screwed to the cylinder head and, as a rule, has a hexagonal shape on top - in this place a candle tip is fixed and with the key is carried out the installation and disassembled of the spark plug.
The main purpose of the design is to ensure that the electrical circuit on the spark plug is closed by means of a spark when passing through a high-voltage spark plug. The spark jumps from the middle electrode to the side electrode.
GLOW PLUGS
The working stroke of the diesel engine corresponds to the working stroke of the engine with forced ignition. However, spark plugs are not required to ignite the air / fuel mixture.
Reason: Diesel engines are compression ignition engines. The surrounding air is sucked in and strongly compressed in the cylinders. The compression ratio is up to 25:1.
Due to compression, air reaches a temperature of 700 to 900 ° C. If fuel is injected, it immediately ignites due to this heating.
HIGH VOLTAGE WIRES
NGK offers a range of high voltage wires that meet all the requirements. The wires correspond to the original performance and quality of the automakers. High-voltage wires manufactured by NGK are of high quality, durability and special economy.
High-voltage wires NGK:
- Have the same construction with original design
- Are offered in the form of copper wires of a high voltage with an interference suppressing tip or in the form of wires of a high voltage with the distributed resistance
- Have a ready-made assembly, so you can immediately install
- Resistant to gasoline and oil
- Have high thermal stability
- Rated for high ignition voltage.
OXYGEN SENSORS
In the combustion of fuel, along with harmless products, such as water, carbon dioxide or nitrogen, hazardous substances are also formed: carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides and hydrocarbons.
For many years, politics and industry have been struggling against emissions of harmful substances. So, since the end of the 80s, every new car with a motor, which has forced ignition, is equipped with a regulated catalyst that reduces the emission of harmful substances.
The accomplishment of this task is supported, among other things, by an oxygen sensor. It guarantees optimal conditions for the catalyst.
IGNITION COILS
We can say that in a gasoline engine, the ignition coils are a power plant. Their task as part of the ignition system is to provide a spark plug with a high voltage, which is necessary for a spark to cross between the central and lateral electrodes and ignite the air-fuel mixture.
For that, ignition coils, through a low voltage connection, receive a voltage from the car battery and multiply it up to 45 kV. Depending on the type of car and the requirements of automakers, different types of ignition coils are used.
