With the development of network technologies, automation, electronic driver assistance systems, hybrid power plants and electric vehicles, the automotive market will expect inevitable radical changes in the near future. Bosch seeks to take the leading position in this process. “The company is actively offering solutions based on network connectivity, data collection and analysis, and other modern technologies,” commented Manfred Baden, president of Bosch Automotive Aftermarket. - Already today, these technologies allow us to optimize many processes, making them more efficient.” According to the audit and consulting company PwC, by 2025 more than 470 million cars will integrate new digital technologies, which will lead to a significant growth in the market of specialized software and data services. This trend, according to Bosch, will be a key driver for the automotive industry in the near future. Bosch's exposition at the Automechanika 2018 exhibition is dedicated to solutions that will allow the company to develop success in new conditions.
New test bench Bosch DCI 700 for diesel injectors
In the face of increasingly stringent requirements for the level of harmful emissions in the exhaust gases in accordance with Euro 5 and 6 standards, the accuracy of the work of Common Rail injection injectors of modern diesel engines is of critical importance. Bosch presents at the exhibition Automechanika 2018 a new test bench DCI 700, equipped with a measuring system with the support of the most modern technologies integrated into the design of diesel injectors. So, the DCI 700 test bench allows you to work with injectors with NCC (Needle Closing Control) technology and VCC (Valve Closing Control) technology. In injectors with NCC or VCC, the electronic control circuit provides high accuracy of injection dosing throughout the entire service life, so that the level of harmful emissions in the exhaust gases meets the standards. The new DCI 700 booth allows you to diagnose the state of engine injectors in both passenger and commercial vehicles.
Searching the best repair solution with Esitronic 2.0 Online
Esitronic 2.0 software is a comprehensive information solution for effective and professional car repair of almost any brands on the market. At the Automechanika exhibition in Frankfurt, Bosch presents a new version of Esitronic 2.0 Online.
The software includes the “Previous Repairs Experience” module (EBR), which contains records of similar faults. More than 750,000 methods for solving technical problems are stored in the database. Due to this, when identifying certain symptoms during diagnosis, the system automatically recommends a solution based on previous experience, tested by Bosch experts and received high user ratings.
The main feature of the new version of Esitronic 2.0 Online is the direct access to any information using free text search. So, as e searching line can be a symptom of a fault, an error code or a vehicle node. Search results will be sorted by relevance and provided with brief annotations. The advanced search system allows you to enter additional parameters such as brand, engine type or node type, thereby increasing the relevance of search results.
Using intelligent caching strategies and high-speed servers, software developers have optimized page load times to ensure the most timely access to information. Thanks to optimization, even users with low-speed access will not experience discomfort when using Esitronic 2.0 Online.
Compact and versatile: diagnostic tester KTS 250
Esitronic software is a central element of the new compact diagnostic tester KTS 250. It is ideal for small service stations or as an additional mobile device in large service centers. The device is equipped with an intuitive user interface based on Android. The KTS 250 database covers about 150 car brands and can automatically identify the model and generation with the support of the car's VIN number.
Prevention of duplication of work through network connectivity
Bosch Connected Repair is software for integrating workshop equipment into a single network. It allows you to manage service protocols, store communication history with customers and create a common database with access for all connected devices. This means that a car that came in for repair is sufficient to identify once, and not to register it on each device separately, as it was before. This allows you to save up to 10 minutes to maintain one car! In addition, further reports, comments and images are stored in the archive in digital form and can be quickly received at any time.
Quick setup and calibration of cameras and sensors
Every day, the number of cars equipped with driving assistance systems is growing. Bosch creates hardware and software solutions for calibrating cameras and sensors of such systems — for example, after replacing a windshield. The setting is controlled by the Esitronic software containing the automakers data.
Professional training based on added reality
Bosch for the first time uses innovative augmented reality technology in its car maintenance training. During the Automechanika trade fair in Frankfurt, Bosch organizes training on high-voltage components of electric systems for hybrid cars using AR technology. Trainings are available by prior accreditation at the Bosch stand in hall 9. Especially for Bosch, a special augmented reality platform was developed for the new training format. The platform allows you to create content and applications of a new type for any mobile devices. By activating the camera of a mobile device through a special application and pointing it at an area containing information in AR format, the user will be able to see explanations, 3D objects or video clips in addition to the current image. Thus, an AR application can show what is hidden behind panels - for example, wiring harnesses.
